Amitai Etzioni is a professor of international affairs at The George Washington University. He previously served as senior adviser at the Carter White House; has taught at Columbia University, Harvard and the University of California at Berkeley; and served as president of the American Sociological Association. His newest book, “Privacy in a Cyber Age,” was recently published by Palgrave Macmillan.
