Aruni writes in Assamese and English. He is the author of the novel "The House With a Thousand Stories" (Viking/ Penguin, June 2013). He is currently editing an anthology of short stories by writers from Assam set against the Assam Conflict for HarperCollins India. Aruni won the Charles Wallace India Trust Scholarship for Creative Writing to the University of Edinburgh in 2009. He is an Assistant Professor of English and Writing at Ashoka University, Sonepat, India.
