Dr. Mavis Himes is a psychoanalyst and clinical psychologist in private practice, as well a a clinical consultant to Wellspring, a cancer centre for cancer patients and their families in Toronto. She is the author of the recently published book The Power of Names: Uncovering the Mystery of What We are Called as well as The Sacred Body: A Therapist's Journey, in addition to professional articles on psychoanalysis.
