Eelco J. Rohling is professor of ocean and climate change at the Australian National University in Canberra, and at the University of Southampton in England. He is a fellow of the American Geophysical Union, editor of the journal Reviews of Geophysics, and author of the book "The Oceans: a Deep History" (Princeton University Press, 2017).
