Jonathan Lipson holds the Harold E. Kohn Chair and is a Professor of Law at Temple University—Beasley School of Law. A former lawyer, he now teaches Contracts, Corporations, Commercial Law, a Transactional Skills Workshop, Bankruptcy, International Business Transactions, and a variety of other business law courses (not all at once). In addition to Temple, he has taught at the law schools of the University of Wisconsin (where he held the Foley & Lardner Chair), the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Baltimore. His principal research focus is business failure: how does–and should–the legal system respond when firms can’t (or don’t) pay their bills?
