Joseph Stiglitz is the winner of the Nobel memorial prize in economics in 2001, former chair of President Clinton’s Council of Economic Advisers, and former chief economist of the World Bank. His 2002 book "Globalization and its Discontents" was an international best seller, with well over a million copies in some 35 languages, focused on the discontent with globalization in the developing countries and emerging markets. His most recent book, "Globalization and its Discontents Revisited: Anti-globalization in the Era of Trump" addresses the New Discontents—those in the US and other advanced countries, and has just been released by W.W. Norton.
