Joseph Paul Forgas is Scientia Professor of Psychology at the University of New South Wales. His research focuses on the influence of cognitive and affective processes on interpersonal behaviors. His work received uninterrupted support from the Australian Research Council, including a Special Investigator Award and an ARC Professorial fellowship, as well as international funding from the German Research Foundation, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, and the Rockefeller Foundation. He published over 20 books, and over 200 articles and chapters, and his work received over 20 000 citations.
