Leng Leng Thang is socio-cultural anthropologist (PhD, Illinois at Urbana-Champaign) and the author of “Generations in Touch: Linking the Old and Young in a Tokyo Neighborhood.” She is also an associate professor and head of the department of Japanese studies at the National University of Singapore.
