As the son of a minister and a teacher, Matthew grew up with a passion for supporting underserved communities through volunteer work and advocacy. After working at leading investment firms and in consulting, he was able to merge his lifelong passion with expertise in the financial industry culminating in co-founding EarnUp. Since 2013 EarnUp has helped consumers with over $10 billion in loans simplify their financial lives and get out of debt faster. Matthew is also active in consumer financial advocacy and education through nonprofit advisory board work.
