Nato Thompson is artistic director at Creative Time, the New York public arts organization that has collaborated with Kara Walker, Paul Chan, Pedro Reyes, and many others. His previous books include "Seeing Power: Art and Activism in the 21st Century" (Melville House); "Experimental Geography: Radical Approaches to Landscape, Cartography, and Urbanism" (Melville House); "The Interventionists: A Users' Manual for the Creative Disruption of Everyday Life" (with Gregory Sholette); and "Living as Form: Socially Engaged Art from 1991–2011."
