I am an infectious disease epidemiologist specialising in the application of genomics for the control of diseases transmitted between animals and people (zoonoses). I co-Direct One Health Aotearoa, a multidisciplinary research centre, dedicated to the control of infectious diseases. I am Chief Scientist for the New Zealand Food Safety Science and Research Centre, Executive Director of the Infectious Disease Research Centre and Research Director for Tāwharau Ora; the School of Veterinary Science at Massey University.
