Noah Coburn is a political anthropologist at Bennington College, specializing in violence and governance in Afghanistan and South and Central Asia more broadly. His most recent book is Losing Afghanistan and he has a forthcoming book with Stanford University Press on the fates of international contractors during the war in Afghanistan that builds on his recent report for the Cost of War project at Brown University.
