Phyllis Korkki has worked at The New York Times for 14 years. She began as a copy editor, and came here from Minnesota, where she worked as an editor at the St. Paul Pioneer Press. She has worked for the Sunday Business section for eight years, where she edits articles and also writes the Applied Science column, which focuses on academic and scientific research as it relates to business and the workplace. The Big Thing: How to Complete Your Creative Project Even If You’re a Lazy, Self-Doubting Procrastinator Like Me, on sale from HarperCollins is her first book.
