Shireen previously worked for seven years as a Lecturer and Research Fellow in the Department of Sociology at the University of Cambridge. She obtained a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics, an MSc in Development Economics from the University of Oxford and a PhD in Social Policy from the London School of Economics.
