Sian Beilock is the president of Barnard College, a cognitive scientist and the world’s foremost expert on the intersection of gender, anxiety, and performance. Among other things, Sian draws upon her own research to point to the psychological effect of gender stereotypes women face, and how that can contribute to both anxiety and success in academia and the professional world.
