Lecturer in Quantitative Sociology at the School of Social Sciences, University of Waikato, and a Research Associate in Political Economy at the Centre for Business Research, University of Cambridge. My research engages in three overlapping topics: - Urban poverty and development - Determinants and consequences of IMF programs - Political economy of East Africa Over the years, my research has been funded by Cambridge Political Economy Society Trust and Cambridge Commonwealth Trust.
