Blackstone Products of Providence, Utah, is voluntarily recalling certain lots of its Parmesan Ranch seasoning over potential salmonella contamination. No illnesses connected to the recalled products have been reported.
Item number #4106 identifies the affected product: the Blackstone Parmesan Ranch seasoning in a 7.3 oz package. Three lot codes are subject to the action — 2025-43282, 2025-46172, and 2026-54751 — with expiration dates falling on July 2, 2027, Aug. 5, 2027, and Aug. 12, 2027, in that order. Consumers can find the lot code and expiration information stamped on the underside of the container, the company said. Affected products were sold nationwide through Walmart $WMT stores and the Blackstone Products website.
The root cause is an upstream ingredient problem: a third-party manufacturer incorporated powdered milk from California Dairies, Inc. into the seasoning blend, and that dairy ingredient has since been flagged as potentially salmonella-contaminated, prompting Blackstone Products to act.
According to the FDA, young children, older adults, and people with compromised immune systems face the greatest risk from salmonella, which can produce severe or even life-threatening illness in those populations. For people who are generally healthy, an infection may still bring on a range of gastrointestinal and systemic symptoms such as stomach cramps, nausea, vomiting, loose stools, and elevated temperature. The agency noted that salmonella occasionally spreads beyond the digestive tract into the bloodstream, where it can trigger serious complications such as endocarditis, arterial infections, or arthritis.
Anyone who bought the recalled seasoning should stop using it right away and discard it. Blackstone Products can be reached at 1-888-879-4610, weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET, for consumers who have questions or would like to request a replacement, the company said.
The Blackstone recall is one of several tied to the California Dairies milk powder contamination, which originated with a voluntary action the company took in April 2026 after flagging its bulk powdered milk and buttermilk as potentially contaminated with salmonella. The cascade of brand-level recalls has spread across a range of product categories, including potato chips, popcorn seasonings, pork rinds, snack mixes, and powdered beverage mixes. Brands affected include Ghirardelli, Zapp's, Dirty, Pork King Good, Fisher, Good & Gather, Giant Eagle, Wildlife Seasoning, Williams Sonoma, Fireworks Popcorn, and Stoltzfus Family Dairy, among others. Recalled items have been sold at retailers including Target $TGT, Walmart, and Williams Sonoma, as well as through e-commerce platforms.
