Chick-fil-A is reviving Cow Appreciation Day on Tuesday, July 14, offering a free entrée to any customer who shows up dressed like a cow. The promotion runs from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at participating locations and is available through dine-in, carry-out, and drive-thru orders only.
After a seven-year absence, the event is back, according to Allrecipes, which notes the chain is also marking its 80th anniversary this year — a milestone that helped motivate bringing the promotion back. The previous Cow Appreciation Day took place in 2019.
To redeem the offer, customers must dress in cow-themed attire and visit a participating restaurant in person. App orders and delivery are excluded, the company said.
Eligible breakfast items include a Chicken Biscuit or a four-count Chick-n-Minis. Participants visiting later in the day can pick from a Chicken Sandwich (original or spicy), an eight-count nuggets order (original or grilled), or a three-count Chick-n-Strips. A free entrée and a kids' prize are also available for guests 12 and under, the company said, while supplies last. Chick-fil-A recommends checking with a local restaurant to confirm specific offerings for kids.
The offer cannot be combined with other promotions or Chick-fil-A One rewards, and no purchase is required, the company said. Menu options may vary by location.
Chick-fil-A has been expanding its kids meal lineup in recent months. The chain added a Mac & Cheese Kids' Meal to its menu, making mac and cheese available as a standalone kids meal entrée at locations nationwide for the first time. That meal includes a side, a drink, and a prize, with the option to swap the prize for ice cream. A new set of cow-themed prizes — including a keychain, a cardboard rolling toy, and Hasbro-branded games — was introduced alongside it at select locations.
