The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled about 16,809 EnHomee 9-Drawer Fabric Dressers sold through Walmart $WMT.com on Thursday, citing tip-over and entrapment hazards that pose a risk of serious injury or death to children.
The dressers fail to meet the federal stability requirements for clothing storage units established by the STURDY Act, the CPSC said, and are unsafe unless secured to a wall. No injuries or incidents related to the recalled dressers have been reported, the agency said.
The affected units were sold by third-party seller Raybee-Direct on Walmart.com between September 2023 and March 2026 for about $80, according to Fox Business. Only orders placed before March 30, 2026, are included in the recall. Available colors included white, brown, gray, and black, and each dresser featured a metal frame holding nine fabric drawers. Each unit is 15.3 inches wide, 27.5 inches tall, and 47.2 inches long, weighing 41.3 pounds.
The CPSC is urging owners of the recalled dressers to keep them away from children and discontinue use unless the unit has been secured to a wall. Consumers seeking a full refund should reach out to Raybee-Direct for guidance on confirming their unit is covered and how to discard it; they will then need to email proof of disposal to [email protected].
According to Fox Business, Xuzhou Mingquanhe Household Co., Ltd. produced the dressers in China, and Changsha Yiman Keji Youxian Gongsi — operating under the name Raybee-Direct — handled importation.
