China beats India hands down in bilateral trade

3.44: The number of times that Chinese exports to India exceeded those of India to China in 2013-14—$51 billion versus $14.8 billion. Back in 2009-10, this multiple was 2.65. This indicates that China has grown its bilateral exports faster than India, strengthening its position in this trade relationship. At an industry meet in Chennai last week, Indian commerce and industries minister Nirmala Sitharaman asked Indian companies to raise their game and step up exports to China.
