The S'mores Frappuccino is back on the menu starting today, with two new drinks joining it for a limited time this summer

Starbucks $SBUX brought back the S'mores Frappuccino on Wednesday for the first time in six years, adding two new drinks to go with it: a S'mores Cold Brew with Marshmallow Cold Foam and an Iced S'mores Chai. All three are available for a limited time. Starbucks Rewards members received access a day early on Tuesday.
The returning Frappuccino is built with milk chocolate sauce and marshmallow-flavored whipped cream at the base, over which a blended mixture of coffee, ice, and vanilla syrup is poured. Marshmallow whipped cream and graham cracker crumbles top the drink, the company said.
The S'mores Cold Brew pairs cold brew coffee with chocolate drizzle and a graham cracker topping, finished with marshmallow-flavored cold foam. Cold brew has never previously served as the base for a Starbucks s'mores drink, Food World News noted. The Iced S'mores Chai combines chai tea with notes of toasted marshmallow, milk chocolate sauce, and graham cracker, the company said.
Lisa Beckman, director of the Starbucks beverage development team and a member of the group that created the original Frappuccino, said the drink was designed to evoke a specific feeling rather than simply replicate a flavor. "This beverage is not just about recreating the flavor of a favorite treat, it's about recreating a feeling — the joy of summer connection with friends," Beckman said in a statement.
Yi Wang-Delizo, a member of the beverage development team who worked on the comeback, described the sensory intent behind the new cold brew build. "For the S'mores Cold Brew, the cold foam provides the marshmallow flavor and that creamy, vanilla, fluffy texture, then we use a silky, smooth chocolate sauce, and top it with the crunchy graham cracker," Wang-Delizo said in a statement.
The Frappuccino made its debut in 2015, saw two additional limited runs in 2016 and 2017, and had not been on the menu since. The return fits into a broader run of menu additions Starbucks has made this summer. The company launched its initial summer 2026 lineup in May, led by the Tropical Butterfly Refresher and a set of horchata-inspired drinks. A separate wave of additions, including three Blended Energy Refreshers, is set to arrive July 14.
The activity comes as Starbucks works to rebuild customer traffic after a stretch of declining same-store sales. The company reported its first same-store sales growth in nearly two years last quarter, with CEO Brian Niccol saying the turnaround is taking hold. Starbucks has also revived in-store milk and sugar stations and reinstated free refills for some orders.
Starbucks has not said when the drinks will be pulled from the menu. Customers can check the app for current prices, which differ depending on location and drink size.
