Renuka Rayasam is an Austin, Texas-based freelance writer. She has contributed to a variety of publications including The New Yorker, The Atlantic, Monocle, and the BBC. Previously, she was a staff writer at US News & World Report, Fortune Small Business, and The Austin American-Statesman. She studied Political Economy and German at the University of California, Berkeley and has a Masters in International Affairs from Columbia University.
