SpaceX’s Dragon spacecraft successfully docked with the International Space Station on Jan. 12, and astronauts will be unloading more than 5,100 lbs (2,300kg) of cargo it brought up for NASA and other space agencies over the next month. Beyond the supplies, late Christmas presents, and replacement equipment that astronauts had been waiting for patiently, there were a few unusual items that the Dragon took up. According to a NASA factsheet, here’s what else was onboard:

When prompted on what SpaceX uses for testing software, Musk jokingly replied, “Kerbal Space Program!” He went on to call the game “awesome.”

With smartphones and their touchscreens, we were given the ability to interact with the internet like never before—we could touch, pinch, and zoom in on webpages—but aside from occasional popups and notifications, we didn’t get much interaction in return. The next generation of wireless devices could change that.

Body weight training is the winner of the American College of Sports Medicine’s annual worldwide fitness survey charting the workout trends that we’re likely to see in 2015. Body weight training—such as push-ups, pull-ups, and squats—is obviously not a new way to work out. The term “push-up”actually dates from the Victorian era, but was only identified as a separate trend by the ACSM in 2013. Three-dimensional printing is more precise, widely available, and easier to use than ever. And new printing materials—and more people making 3D-print designs—means a wider variety of applications. MakerBot, which manufactures 3D printers, features more than 100,000 models on its community, called the Thingiverse.

Nike appears to be looking into new uses for the Nike+ sensor it first released in 2006. A patent awarded to the company on Dec. 9 shows a device that looks very similar to the Nike+ sensor slotting into a sleeveless shirt that has, as the patent says, the ability to monitor various levels and send the information to another device.

The northernmost airport in Michigan had the lowest percentage of flights landing on time in the US in 2014, according to data from the Department of Transportation. Just 53.77% of flights flying into the airport arrived on time this year.

Google Glass is due to receive an update in 2015, and if a Google patent submitted last month is any indication, it could include a new feature to let wearers use their fingerprints, or scans of their eyes, instead of passwords on websites.

Google is working on a new version of Google Glass, and it appears the update might involve a design that is easier on the eyes. A patent awarded to Google today shows a slimmed-down version of the current Google Glass Explorer Edition design that wouldn’t take up as much facial real estate as the current model.

GoPro, which has made a sizable business out of selling rugged digital cameras, is getting into the nascent consumer drone market late next year, according to The Wall Street Journal (paywall). It looks like a smart move.

Facebook’s future depends on its ability to figure out—and dominate—the mobile internet the way it quickly grew on the desktop web. While not everything Facebook launches is a hit, the company has executed impressibly in mobile and is one of the world’s top mobile companies.

On the other hand, fewer than a quarter of the people surveyed knew that there was a difference between the Internet and the World Wide Web.
