Sandwich giant Arby’s is getting into the meal deal wars with a $9 bundle.
The promotion, dubbed the “Shake Up Your Burger Meal,” includes a deluxe burger, a choice of curly or crinkle medium fries, and a regular shake. Shake flavors include Chocolate, Orange Cream, Jamocha, or Vanilla. The deal is available for a limited time.
The Atlanta-based Arby’s is the latest quick-service chain to try its hand at nabbing the attention of inflation-weary consumers who have pulled back on discretionary spending due to elevated food prices, particularly in fast food.
As the bargain battle heats up, Arby’s will have its own share of competition. Earlier this month, Sonic said it planned to add a permanent $1.99 value menu that also includes shakes.
In June, Taco Bell said it would offer customers a limited time $7 Luxe Cravings Box, on top of its $5 Taco Discovery Box and its Cravings Value Menu, from which it boasts customers can get 10 items for $3 or less.
Meanwhile, McDonald’s has deployed its $5 meal deal, which stands to last about three more weeks. Burger King has a $5 “Your Way Meal” bundle that does not yet have an end date. Starbucks has a $5 offer tied to its “Pairings Menu.” And Wendy’s has two promotions: a $3 breakfast bundle and a $5 combo dubbed the “Biggie Bag,” which includes a Frosty.
